Once upon a time, Dorothy and Jake went to the Philippines. The two of them, with their extremely limited knowledge of Tagalog, bravely left Dorothy's dad's home in Manila and met up with Natalia of Filipino Kitchen and Chef Sharwin Tee. About 12 hours and several meals later, they were best food friends for life.

Sarap, Filipino Kitchen and Chef Tee are reuniting for a special collaboration dinner. Sharwin has traveled all the way from the Philippines to eat his way around America and is including Detroit on this trip, so don't miss him while he's in the U.S.! His food is top notch, among the very best we had in the Philippines.

Seating is at 8:30 p.m. Oct. 9. If you have any dietary restrictions, please email us at sarapdetroit [at] gmail [dot] com.
